Ocean Pearl Hotel in Phu Quoc

After spending almost one week in two resorts on Phu Quoc island, we decided to stay for our last 3 nights there in a hotel. That’s how we chose Ocean Pearl, a one year old 4 star hotel situated in the heart of Phu Quoc’s cultural area. The hotel is famous for its twin buildings facing each other and it offers a panoramic view of the mountains and of the sea. Because of its facilities, it is suitable for both families who want to spend their holidays, but also for business trips and meetings.
When you arrive in the impressive reception area with its big lobby, you can serve yourself with cold water or fresh cold juice, a free service offered to its guests.

This is what we did and considering the hot weather outside, this was a great treat. After check in formalities, we were taken to our room. We need to mention that the stuff is really good prepared and very helpful with any information you might need. We had a big room with an absolutely great view over the sea. It’s like everybody knows that we love sunsets, because also in Ocean Pearl our room was facing a lovely view of the sun going down and turning the sky and the sea into an incredible red color.

Our room facing the sea.

The room had a huge bed with confortable mattress and high quality bed linen, allowing us a great sleep. There was also a nice couch with a tea table and on the opposite side, near the window there were two chairs and another table. You can choose to enjoy the free coffee and tea as it suits you best. We mostly did it on the couch.

The room is also equipped with a long desk and a chair, very good and confortable for working on your laptop. The bathroom is huge and it has a big bathtub and a window which has the same great view over the sea.

As we made a habit of swimming after dropping our luggage and after checking the room, in Ocean Pearl it was no different. We went straight to the swimming pool which is situated between the two identical buildings. It is a large swimming pool with clear and blue water which allowed us to practice our new hobby, swimming. Sunbeds, table, flip flops and good quality towels are included. We spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing.

We had a short meeting with the hotel’s owner and its general manager and they told us about their expansion plans and their ambition to become the biggest accommodation facility in Phu Quoc. So, they intend to build a resort as well. A rooftop restaurant will soon be open and it will offer a great experience of having a fine dine with a view. Trust us, their dishes are absolutely amazingly prepared by their chef in a high-end equipped kitchen. Because they were introducing new items in their menus, we had the chance to meet the chef, see the kitchen where the magic food is happening and take some great shots of a few fine dishes. The buffet breakfast was at the same high level of quality as the dishes that we’ve photo shoot the day before.
There is a huge variety of choices, from traditional Chinese cooked dishes to western food, fresh cooked eggs on request, big variety of fruits and a lot of other foods.
Ocean Pearl has its own SPA, offering a great variety of treatments for its guests. 6 massage rooms are available and they are for individuals, for couples or for groups. There is 1 massage room dedicated to the feet and they have 2 saunas – one dry and one wet. If you want to treat and spoil yourself, this is a perfect place.

If you’re traveling to Phu Quoc, we definitely recommend to try a few nights in Ocean Pear Hotel. You won’t regret it!
